MATERIALS INFORMATION
The following non-metallic materials are approved for use with the LaserCAMM. Please note that the maximum material thickness the machine is capable of cutting is listed next to the material’s name. If the material you wish to use is not on this list, you must ask a shop technician or a LaserCAMM TA for approval before attempting to cut it. NEVER cut PVC on the LaserCAMM. As the laser burns this material it releases a gas that destroys the optics of the machine. Polycarbonate (Lexan, etc.) should also be avoided as a material choice because it gives off toxic fumes and does not cut cleanly.
