As with all mercury-containing objects, it is important to properly dispose of your compact fluorescent light bulbs at the end of their lifecycle.  Meaning, they must be recycled!  Lucky for Blacksburg residents, all of our downtown merchants are collecting bulbs, as well as batteries, to be recycled.  For more information about the downtown merchants of Blacksburg, visit their website at www.downtownblacksburg.com.  And for those of you that are reading this that don’t live in Blacksburg, Home Depot and IKEA are collecting CFL’s nationwide.
